NHRA Champion Tony Schumacher Elected to Sky Detective Board of Directors

EAGLE, Idaho, Oct. 3, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Board of Directors of Sky Detective, Inc. today announced the election of NHRA Top Fuel Champion and business leader Tony Schumacher to its board. Schumacher, the five-time champion of the NHRA Top Fuel class (2004-2007), claimed his 13th victory of the season and the 54th career win on September 28 at the O'Reilly Mid-South Nationals at Memphis Motorsports Park. Schumacher became the all-time top fuel wins leader this year and holds the world record for the fastest 1/4 mile top fuel run at 336.15 mph.

Schumacher is an owner of Schumacher Electric Corporation, the leading battery charging manufacturing company in the nation, and Don Schumacher Racing, the NHRA Top Fuel Championship Team sponsored by the United States Army.

"We are pleased to have Tony Schumacher join the board of directors of Sky Detective," said CEO Jerry Thompson. He is a world class athlete, an exceptional businessman and a true patriot. Tony proudly drives the U.S. Army Top Fuel Dragster and devotes a great deal of time to visiting our troops at home and abroad. He knows what it takes to be the very best in class and his winning attitude, experience, knowledge and contacts on the track and in the business world will be a tremendous asset in establishing Sky Detective as a global leader in the LBS (Location Based Services) industry."

Schumacher said that he first took an interest in Sky Detective as an investor before joining the board. "I immediately recognized the social benefit of this technology and Sky Detective's enormous market potential," said Schumacher. "I personally have seen the limitations of current tracking technology in my trips to visit American troops in Iraq and realized that Sky Detective is far ahead of any other company in the Location Based Services industry. Sky Detective's technology has the capability of saving the lives of soldiers and citizens, deterring street crime and preventing the theft of high-value assets worldwide. Their contribution to our brave men and women in law enforcement, who put their lives on the line every day, is invaluable. I am honored to be on Sky Detective's board of directors and to help the company fulfill its mission to protect people and property and to deter crime."
