Charge from Okokrim

Okokrim (the Norwegian National Authority for Investigation and Prosecution of
Economic and Environmental Crime) has charged DnB NOR Bank ASA and two persons
employed in the investment firm DnB NOR Markets based on suspicion of
infringement of the provisions of the Securities Trading Act. In the view of
Okokrim, there exists probable and reasonable cause that the provisions of the
Securities Trading Act were violated in connection with DnB NOR Bank's sale of
government bonds prior to the presentation of the bank rescue package on 12
October 2008 by the Ministry of Finance and Norges Bank.
