IntraLinks Accelerates SaaS API Strategy With Sonoa ServiceNet

Leading Online Workspace Provider Selects Sonoa to Increase SaaS API Security, Performance and Customer Mediation

SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwire - October 28, 2008) - Sonoa Systems, Inc. today announced that IntraLinks, the leading provider of online workspaces for secure document exchange, has selected Sonoa's ServiceNet to facilitate the development of its SaaS API infrastructure.

IntraLinks will use Sonoa ServiceNet to enable customers and partners to utilize and extend the IntraLinks platform by securely accessing IntraLinks' APIs that are exposed as Web services. Sonoa's ServiceNet will reduce the coding necessary to create many operational functions such as performance and visibility, enabling IntraLinks' development team to focus on delivering advanced API functionality and features that create business value. Sonoa ServiceNet will also allow IntraLinks to manage numerous and diverse API clients -- enforcing multiple security schemes, mediating protocol preferences, and managing access control and performance.

"Sonoa's unique capabilities enhances our system architecture creating a flexible and high performance environment for the development of our SaaS API strategy," said John Landy, vice president of architecture at IntraLinks. "ServiceNet ensures a critical level of SaaS API protection by monitoring activity, providing access control and generating real-time, actionable visibility and reporting as we work with clients and customers."

"To reap the benefits that SaaS services offer for the enterprise, applications that integrate with them need to be managed flawlessly, especially for providers like IntraLinks whose stringent security requirements are paramount," said Chet Kapoor, CEO of Sonoa Systems. "Sonoa's network-centric approach provides IntraLinks with the added technology base to drive wide adoption of their SaaS API-based offerings. At the same time, ServiceNet frees IntraLinks to concentrate on the development of advanced functionality and business features in their applications without operational burdens, unlocking added value to the client."
