"Institutional Investor's" London Bureau Chief Wins Prestigious "Journalist of the Year" Award

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - November 10, 2008) - Loch Adamson, "Institutional Investor's"
London Bureau Chief, was named "Journalist of the Year - Investment Issues
(Trade)" at the 2008 State Street Institutional Press Awards in London on
November 5th. Adamson was chosen for her outstanding coverage in the
following articles in the magazine: "Minding the Data" (October 2007) and
"Being Kieran Prior" (May 2008).
"This is a terrific and well-deserved honor for Loch, recognizing the
superb work she has been doing as the London bureau chief for
'Institutional Investor,'" said the magazine's editor, Michael Carroll.
According to a State Street spokesperson, the Investment Issues (Trade)
category was extremely competitive this year with 30 entries.
Launched in 2002, the State Street Institutional Press Awards recognize
outstanding performance in institutional financial reporting. This year the
awards honored the contribution of journalists across a wide range of
categories, including investments, pensions and investor services and
technology. Entries were judged by an independent panel of industry
professionals, including Mark Wood, Chief Executive of Paternoster; Malcolm
McLean, Chief Executive of the Pensions Advisory Service; Ben Gunnee,
European Director of the Mercer Sentinel Group; John Ralfe, an independent
pension consultant; and Steve Delo, President of the Pensions Management
Institute.
The journalists were honored at a luncheon in London hosted by Rick
Lacaille, Global Chief Investment Officer at State Street Global Advisors.
