Association of Energy Services Professionals (AESP) Announces the Call for Nominations for Its 2009 Energy Awards Program


PHOENIX, Nov. 19, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Association of Energy Services Professionals (www.aesp.org) announced that nominations are now open for its 2009 Energy Awards Program. The awards will be given out at AESP's 19th National Energy Services Conference (NESC) in a special awards luncheon sponsored by ICF International (www.icfi.com). AESP's 19th NESC, hosted by San Diego Gas & Electric(r) (www.sdge.com) and Comverge (www.comverge.com), will be held January 26-29, 2009, in San Diego, CA.

The awards program recognizes excellence in the energy services field in the following categories:



 Outstanding Energy Efficient Technology Deployment of the Year
 Outstanding Achievement in Marketing Communications
 Outstanding Achievement in Marketing Research and Evaluation
 Outstanding Achievement in Pricing and Demand Response
 Outstanding Achievement in Energy Program Design or Implementation
 B. H. Prasad Award for Outstanding Contribution to AESP (individual
  award)

"The awards program recognizes the best work being done in the energy efficiency industry," said AESP President and CEO Meg Matt. "AESP's mission is to provide opportunities for professional development and knowledge transfer through training, conferences, workshops and publications. Another way to highlight best practices is through our annual awards program."

AESP is anticipating over 500 attendees for its 19th National Energy Services Conference and Expo. "Our members will showcase the work they are doing in energy efficiency, climate change, demand response, technology, program design and implementation, market research and evaluation, policy, marketing, pricing and more over the course of the conference," said Matt. She added that the sold out exhibit hall will feature 37 exhibitors who will be on hand to showcase their latest programs, services and technologies.
