New CEO of DnB NORD

Sven Herlyn will leave his position as group CEO in DnB NORD A/S for personal
reasons. The Board of Directors has appointed Thomas Bürkle as his successor,
general manager in NORD/LB New York Branch and former CEO of NORD/LB Lietuva. 
 
Sven Herlyn will serve as CEO until 31 January 2009 and will be succeeded by
Thomas Bürkle on 1 February 2009. Sven Herlyn has agreed to stay on for a
period to ensure a smooth transition. 
 
DnB NORD is a joint venture between Norwegian DnB NOR (51%) and German NORD/LB
Norddeutsche Landesbank (49%).
