"Strengths and Weaknesses of the Automotive OEMs - The Suppliers' Perspective"


FARMINGTON HILLS, MI--(Marketwire - January 5, 2009) - The Association for Corporate Growth Detroit Chapter and the Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA) will team to present a meeting Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Glen Oaks Golf & Country Club, 30500 W. 13 Mile Road (just east of Orchard Lake), Farmington Hills, MI.

The Meeting will begin with networking, registration and breakfast from 7 am to 8 am, followed by a presentation that will address "who can predict the future of the domestic OEMs?"

A panel of experts will outline various OEM scenarios, considering union issues, product mix, fuel prices and government assistance. These scenarios will be discussed in relation to production forecasts and the implications on suppliers as the North American automotive industry continues its restructuring effort.

Peter Bridges, Townsend Search Group

Peter M. Bridges has been successfully recruiting in Corporate Finance, with an emphasis on Investment Banking, Private Equity and Turnaround Consulting for nearly two decades. Prior to joining Townsend Search Group Mr. Bridges served as the Managing Director of Operations for Conway MacKenzie & Dunleavy, a leader in turnaround consulting, litigation support and investment banking.

Jim Gillette, Director of Supplier Analysis, CSM Worldwide

Mr. Jim Gillette joined CSM in 2003, having served the prior thirteen years as Vice President of Automotive Forecasting with IRN, Inc. Beginning as a Strategic Marketing Consultant for the Automotive Components Group (currently Delphi) of General Motors, his experience in the global auto industry dates back to 1988.

Dave Andrea is Vice President, Industry Analysis and Economics of the Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA). Founded in August 1998, OESA represents 353 supplier companies with global automotive sales of over $300 billion.
