SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwire - February 5, 2009) - Sonoa Systems, Inc., an innovative provider
of analytics, management, and governance solutions for cloud services and
APIs, today announced that InfoNgen, the first Discovery Engine for
business, finance and information professionals, has selected Sonoa to
accelerate its cloud services strategy. Sonoa's analytics and management
software will give InfoNgen business-level visibility and control over
their cloud services and APIs.
InfoNgen is exposing its APIs over the cloud to allow its client base to
integrate the full capabilities of the InfoNgen Discovery Engine platform
into existing platforms and applications, without having to make major
infrastructure investments. This gives InfoNgen's clients a cost-effective
way to deploy individual components of the platform or an entire end-to-end
solution, replicating the performance and functionality of an installation.
InfoNgen's Discovery Engine is being used by information workers in all
vertical industries, including pharmaceuticals, financial services and
media. This real-time platform constantly scans, indexes and automatically
applies consistent business and financial meta-data to any source of
information, enabling users to filter and discover content that matches
their interests.
Sonoa will provide InfoNgen with visibility and monitoring into how
customers use the APIs. In addition, Sonoa will provide a single,
consistent point of access for customers across many backend services and
will allow InfoNgen to manage and enforce security and SLAs.
"Our clients and partners are looking to us to deliver turnkey applications
that require no major investments in software and servers. As we expand our
customer base, it is critical for us to have business-level visibility and
control over our cloud services to ensure that we are meeting their needs,"
said Eli Feldman, SVP engineering & operations at InfoNgen. "With users
demanding fast, secure information, Sonoa provides a full strategy around
our APIs, providing visibility, control and handling of a great amount of
data and large message sizes being exchanged without compromising service
performance."
"Based on the strong, growing demand for our cloud gateway solution, it is
clear we are at an inflection point where companies now see cloud computing
as a business imperative," said Chet Kapoor, CEO of Sonoa Systems. "Running
critical business services and opening up APIs to the cloud is not without
significant challenges around visibility, control and scale. We solve these
challenges head on, allowing companies to focus on strategic initiatives
such as growing revenue and developing new services. InfoNgen is a
forward-thinking innovator with its real-time discovery platform and we're
delighted to have them on board as a customer."
InfoNgen joins Sonoa's growing roster of leading companies including Warner
Music, Pfizer, Level 3, JP Morgan Chase, Landslide, Net One, Sterling
Infosystems and Aizu University.
