FirstBank of Colorado Selects Goldleaf's Payment Web Services Solution

Solution to Power Remote Deposit Offering Across Retail Market Segments

ATLANTA, Feb. 23, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Goldleaf Financial Solutions Inc. (Nasdaq:GFSI), a provider of integrated technology-based solutions designed to improve the performance of financial institutions, today announced that Lakewood, Colorado-based FirstBank has selected its Sierra Xpedite Payment Web Services solution to support its retail remote deposit strategy. Goldleaf's Payment Web Services solution is a service-oriented interface that allows financial institutions to fully integrate deposit-taking functionality into any Web-based application including online banking solutions and Internet portals.

FirstBank currently uses Goldleaf's Sierra Xpedite Commercial Remote Deposit solution, so the selection of Payment Web Services to extend its remote deposit offering to consumers and small businesses was a natural extension of its existing relationship with Goldleaf. Goldleaf's solution also offered several significant benefits, including the ability to seamlessly integrate with the bank's existing online banking solution. Moreover, the bank can tailor the user interface and brand it specifically based on the unique needs of each market segment while using the same back end processing engine from Goldleaf that is used to support other points of presentment.

"Our decision to select Goldleaf was strategic for our financial institution," said Rob Chaney, executive vice president of FirstBank Data Corporation. "Goldleaf allows us to leverage the same components and infrastructure throughout retail and commercial deployments and makes it possible to integrate remote deposit functionality within our existing Web properties. This will help us market the solution more broadly and enables us to deliver a consistent customer experience of the highest quality."

Institutions today have invested heavily to establish their online brands and customer experience, which is key to the success of their existing online servicing channels. Goldleaf's Payment Web Services solution leverages the bank's investment in that infrastructure and transforms remote deposit into a straightforward, new functional module that is simply an extension of the existing online experience.

Lynn Boggs, CEO of Goldleaf Financial Solutions, commented, "Our Payment Web Services solution is a powerful offering that provides financial institutions maximum flexibility to package remote deposit functionality in a way that makes sense for the user. The solution allows the financial institution to move beyond first generation remote deposit point solutions to more complete enterprise wide offerings, which is vital in attracting deposits and lowering costs in the future. This solution enables FirstBank of Colorado to protect its online brand while simultaneously offering remote deposit functionality to a larger base of customers through well known servicing channels already in place."
