Terremark Launches The Enterprise Cloud(tm) in Europe

MIAMI, Feb. 24, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Terremark Worldwide, Inc. (Nasdaq:TMRK), a leading global provider of managed IT infrastructure services, today announced the availability of its Enterprise Cloud services to customers throughout Europe. The Enterprise Cloud's availability in Europe provides customers a true, multinational cloud infrastructure that is connected to the cloud infrastructure currently available at Terremark's Network Access Point (NAP) of the Americas in Miami and its NAP of the Capital Region near Washington, D.C.

Terremark's Enterprise Cloud, a revolutionary managed cloud computing platform for mission-critical applications and IT infrastructure, combines the agility and scalability of cloud computing with world-class datacenter and computing infrastructure, access to more than 160 global networks and best-in-class managed services, allowing enterprises to meet the real-time needs of their business with greater efficiency and economy than ever before. At the center of The Enterprise Cloud is an easy-to-use web application that allows customers to dynamically provision, configure, deploy and manage servers in just minutes from a pool of dedicated computing resources. A variety of preconfigured server roles are available across Microsoft Windows, Linux and Sun Solaris operating systems. The portal provides a full reporting interface that allows instant insight into resource utilization and system performance.

"The availability of Enterprise Cloud services to our customers in Europe provides them with an innovative and powerful solution to their IT infrastructure needs," said Kurt Glazemakers, CTO for Terremark's European operations. "By purchasing a dedicated resource pool of processing, memory and storage, the Enterprise Cloud offers our customers more flexibility and agility over the traditional server based model, allowing for a precise and dynamic allocation of computing resources as needed."

Terremark recently announced its latest upgrade to the Enterprise Cloud with the addition of Dynamic Capacity Management, which allows Enterprise Cloud customers to access on-demand computing capacity with greater flexibility than ever. Dynamic Capacity Management provides a flexible "burst mode" for Enterprise Cloud-based computing environments, allowing clients to access additional computing power as needed. The feature, which can be enabled for processing and memory resources as required, provides real-time access to additional computing capacity, allowing clients to address transient spikes in usage in a flexible and cost-effective manner.

"As we continue to expand the availability of the Enterprise Cloud across our global datacenter footprint, we are able to offer our customers worldwide a 'true cloud' solution for their IT infrastructure needs," said Manuel D. Medina, Chairman and CEO of Terremark Worldwide, Inc. "Based on the Enterprise Cloud's success in the United States and existing demand for enterprise-class cloud computing services in Europe, we expect strong demand for the Enterprise Cloud from our current customers and prospects in Europe."

Terremark will be demonstrating the Enterprise Cloud live at VMWorld Europe 2009, which provides IT professionals actionable items, innovative products and best practices for virtualizing their infrastructure. VMWorld Europe 2009 will be held from February 24-26 at The Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France.
