SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - March 9, 2009) - The third IT Security Entrepreneurs'
Forum (ITSEF III) will take place at Stanford University on March 18, 2009.
It is designed to bring together IT security leaders from private industry,
Federal Government, Department of Defense, intelligence agencies, academia,
science, venture capital and innovators/entrepreneurs of security solutions
to address the needs of protecting the nation's IT critical infrastructures
and command/control operating systems.
The Challenge:
From the underpinnings of the financial and banking systems to the
integrity and sustainability of our national defense networks, cyber
security now poses one of the greatest threats to the United States and an
immense target for our adversaries.
The Opportunity:
ITSEF III, hosted by The Security Innovation Network, brings together 'best
of class' and emerging companies with a select group of government,
industry and venture capital leaders to share insights on market trends,
needs, procurement processes, and opportunities on how to best approach and
access these markets.
Analysts and industry experts believe this market will be one of the few
shining business sectors in an otherwise down economy, one that requires
the partnership of government and industry to accelerate the search for
innovative solutions that can be identified, introduced and integrated into
the critical infrastructure of operating systems. As our adversaries
continue to attack with greater frequency and sophistication it is
imperative that we create a "Dynamic Defense" that is swift, effective and
robust.
Keynote speakers include:
-- Lt. General Keith Alexander, Director of The National Security Agency
-- Admiral Michael McConnell, Former Director of National Intelligence
The panel of guest speakers and attendees who fund, build, deploy and
purchase IT security solutions can be found at:

"At the time I was VP of Defense Group, Northrop Grumman IT and attended
the 2007 ITSEF. As a result of the forum, I invited 12 emerging companies
to Washington DC and ended up working with five of them."
