Acresso Software Expands Novell Offering With New Multi-Year OEM Agreement

SCHAUMBURG, IL--(Marketwire - March 17, 2009) - Acresso Software today announced a new, multi-year OEM agreement with Novell to provide a broader AdminStudio application readiness solution set to Novell ZENworks customers. Expanding on the capabilities available under a long-standing agreement with Novell, the complete AdminStudio Standard Edition will now be included in Novell ZENworks Configuration Management, addressing customers' need to streamline customization steps during the preparation of reliable Windows application packages for enterprise deployment. Novell customers using the AdminStudio component of ZENworks have prepared applications for deployment in 85% less time.

Novell ZENworks Configuration Management helps customers efficiently manage both medium and large-scale enterprise IT environments. By combining AdminStudio's efficient and reliable MSI repackaging, application customization, and deployment handoff capabilities, IT is equipped with the automated tools they need to ensure software packages are deployed rapidly and successfully, enabling them to reduce total cost of ownership.

When compared to the AdminStudio Limited Edition, which continues to be available to Novell ZENworks 7 customers, AdminStudio Standard Edition empowers customers with advanced customization capabilities for modifying applications before deploying them in the enterprise. Via the Editor component, based on the Acresso industry-leading InstallShield product, customers can make application modifications via a user-friendly interface. Some examples include the removal of undesired features, inclusion of company standard templates, setting short-cut preferences, and modification of conditional logic that controls the behavior of the installation.
