New Book Examines Science of Human Energy Fields, Describes Coming Era of Wireless Medicine

Author Colin A. Ross, M.D. Strives to Break Down Biases That Prevent Mainstream Science From Embracing Important Breakthrough

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - March 23, 2009) - A new book by noted psychiatrist and author Colin A. Ross, M.D., "Human Energy Fields," (ISBN-13: 978-0-9821851-0-0) describes a new science and medicine focused on the human body's electromagnetic field. Dr. Ross tells the story of his 40-year journey to refine the underpinnings of this new science and clarify its hypotheses. He also describes proof that the eye emits electromagnetic energy that he calls an "eyebeam."

In "Human Energy Fields," Dr. Ross makes the case that understanding the body's electromagnetic field can lead to the unification of eastern and western medicine. These advances open the door to the scientific study of a wide range of experiences, healing methods and folk beliefs that are considered paranormal, mystical or superstitious by western science.

In "Human Energy Fields," Dr. Ross predicts that physicians will soon examine the body's electromagnetic field using scanners not unlike the ones depicted on "Star Trek." He describes the invention of the Whole Body EM Scanner for which he has submitted a patent application.

In 2008, Dr. Ross went public with his ability to focus his own electromagnetic field to send a beam of energy from his eyes and make a tone sound out of a speaker. Dr. Ross' application to the One Million Dollar Paranormal Challenge administered by the James Randi Educational Foundation (www.randi.org) was accepted by James Randi on August 1, 2008 but has yet to be tested. Dr. Ross submitted a detailed test protocol on February 13, 2009, which is available on his Web site (www.rossinst.com). James Randi's assistant acknowledged receipt of the protocol and Dr. Ross is awaiting word on when the preliminary test will be scheduled.

"'Human Energy Fields' describes a hard science, but until it can be understood, measured and analyzed, every phenomenon is considered paranormal," said Dr. Ross. "As recently as 100 years ago, the idea that people could talk on cell phones would have been paranormal."

"Human Energy Fields" lists for $16.95 and is available through www.amazon.com. For more information about Dr. Ross and the Colin A. Ross Institute for Psychological Trauma, visit www.rossinst.com.
