ShoreTel's Expanded Technology Partner Program Draws Integrated Partner Eco-System at VoiceCon Orlando 2009

ShoreTel Showcases Leading Technology Partners With Market Proven UC Applications That Help Organizations Boost Productivity and Lower Costs

SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwire - March 24, 2009) - ShoreTel® (NASDAQ: SHOR), a leading provider of Pure IP Unified Communications (UC) solutions, today announced it will host a partner pavilion in Booth 917 at VoiceCon Orlando 2009 to showcase its growing number of ShoreTel-certified UC solutions providers, who are taking advantage of ShoreTel's open platform. ShoreTel technology partners design innovative applications that integrate fully with the ShoreTel UC system, offering customers a wide range of productivity and efficiency enhancing benefits from proven UC technology.

ShoreTel's open platform and growing customer base have resulted in a dramatic rise in the popularity of the technology partner program, and increasing demand from customers for integrated UC applications. ShoreTel recently introduced two new program levels, in addition to the original ShoreTel Certified level -- Partner Proven and Customer Proven. These levels are designed to help organizations identify the best solution to meet their needs. Recent additions at both the Partner Proven and Customer Proven levels include ADTRAN, Brocade, EtherSpeak, Incendonet, Liquid Labs and Telrex.

As organizations increasingly turn to integrated solutions to boost productivity and reduce costs, the ShoreTel Technology Partner Program has attracted dozens of new solution developers in the past six months, with seven solutions recertified for ShoreTel's open and flexible platform. ShoreTel's extensive network of certified technology partners means customers have access to a wide range of UC applications that support ShoreTel's open APIs, including innovative solutions, such as emergency notification, voicemail to text, employee mobility and cost savings through SIP trunking.

"We believe it's important to go above and beyond interoperability testing in a lab environment, and show organizations that our VoIP networking solutions have successfully complemented the ShoreTel UC system in actual customer deployments," said ADTRAN Senior Product Manager, Todd Lattanzi. "ADTRAN and ShoreTel invest significantly with our partners around the world to ensure high customer satisfaction and work jointly to ensure our solutions meet the requirements of our customers, regardless of location or vertical."

The following companies are demonstrating products in the ShoreTel partner pavilion at VoiceCon: ADTRAN, presenting VoIP connectivity and networking solutions; Comdasys, showing fixed mobile convergence solutions for VoIP; EtherSpeak, demonstrating native SIP trunking for ShoreTel; Extricom, with enterprise-grade wireless LAN solutions; Ingate, showing secure network gateways for VoIP solutions; Liquid Labs, with customer-proven call recording solutions; Polycom, presenting SIP conferencing and mobility solutions; and Syntellect, showing contact center solutions.

ShoreTel has received world-class customer satisfaction ratings from customers for 14 quarters in a row, and is constantly seeking to align itself with partners that share the same commitment to product excellence and outstanding customer satisfaction.

"The flexibility of ShoreTel's unique distributed architecture allows us to create an ecosystem with our technology partners where the combined whole product solution enhances and extends the ease of use, productivity and customer satisfaction of the ShoreTel system," said Kevin Gavin, vice president of marketing at ShoreTel. "ShoreTel's open platform continues to attract technology partners who recognize the market potential for easy-to-use solutions that integrate communications with business processes."
