Dedicated Market Focus: Omron Announces Strategy and Launch of Application Oriented Sales Team


SCHAUMBURG, IL--(Marketwire - April 15, 2009) - Omron Electronic Components LLC has announced the creation and deployment of a new strategic sales team to its already well-established sales force. The new group is identified as Application Oriented Sales (AOS), and carries a fundamental mission of developing new products in the marketplace, based on leading customers' demands in focused markets. Through extensive research and in-depth planning with corporate Product Marketing teams, the first four focus markets identified for the Omron team are: Hand Held, Video over Fiber, Automated Test Equipment (ATE), and Home Appliance.

After defining the focus markets, Omron then assembled their dedicated team, assigning nine senior Sales Engineers to the respective markets in which they have expert knowledge and experience. The team will fully support customers, CEMs, and ODMs from design to production by coordinating proper communications through the local product marketing group, logistics, overseas factories, and sales departments to support global efforts. Customers will benefit from the seamless and streamlined strategy that their dedicated AOS team member brings to their domestic and global business, while providing the highest quality solutions specifically targeted for their vertical market applications.
