Enable IPC's Subsidiary, SolRayo, Joins Nanotechnology Consortium at University of Wisconsin

MADISON, WI--(Marketwire - April 22, 2009) - Enable IPC Corporation (PINKSHEETS: EIPC) today announced its subsidiary, SolRayo, LLC, has accepted an invitation to join the Advanced Materials Industrial Consortium at the University of Wisconsin. The Consortium gives commercial partners the opportunity to collaborate with students and faculty in advanced materials research across the UW-Madison campus. Information on the consortium can be found at: http://www.uwamic.wisc.edu/.

By joining the consortium, SolRayo gains access to talented students and faculty at the university, as well as instrumentation at university laboratories. SolRayo is particularly interested in being able to access the Materials Research Science and Engineering Center on Nanostructured Interfaces (MRSEC), which was established at the university by the National Science Foundation. More information on the MRSEC is available at: http://www.mrsec.wisc.edu/.

"This opportunity provides us with a valuable resource," said SolRayo Chief Technology Officer Kevin Leonard. "As part of this consortium we will have access to equipment and expertise that is otherwise very difficult to come by."

Previously, SolRayo was featured in an article published by the American Ceramics Society Bulletin, titled "A Heroic Capacity," which discussed how ultracapacitors complement batteries, and how several of the leading ultracapacitor companies, including SolRayo, are working to integrate their use in various applications. The article can be found at: http://www.americanceramicsociety.org/bulletin/apr_09/.

Separately, Enable IPC recently announced the shipment of its nanoparticle-based ultracapacitor electrodes to IMDEA in Madrid. This contract is in connection with a high profile renewable energy demonstration project in Spain.
