ACWA Statement on Confirmation of David Hayes as Deputy Interior Secretary


SACRAMENTO, CA--(Marketwire - May 21, 2009) - ACWA Executive Director Timothy Quinn issued the following statement today on the confirmation of David Hayes as Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior:

"ACWA applauds the action by the Senate yesterday to confirm David Hayes as Deputy Secretary of Interior.

Hayes served as deputy interior secretary in the last three years of the Clinton administration. He led the Obama Administration's natural resources transition team.
