TIBCO Positioned in Leaders Quadrant in Latest Business Process Management Suites Magic Quadrant

PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwire - May 26, 2009) - TIBCO Software Inc. (NASDAQ: TIBX) today announced that it has been positioned in the Leaders quadrant of Gartner Inc.'s February 2009 "Magic Quadrant for Business Process Management Suites"(1) report. Inclusion criteria for vendors in the Magic Quadrant include fulfilling all BPMS capabilities defined by Gartner, and providing references that demonstrate industry and geographic diversity.

In this report, Gartner defines leaders as vendors who "offer products and services that best enable all the use cases and have customer references for each. These vendors relentlessly focus on increasing the participation of business roles in process improvement efforts by enabling explicit, model-driven approaches, rather than traditional coding. Leaders' products and services especially focus on business process analysts working alongside process owners to transform processes. They enable the highest level of collaboration among business and IT professionals, from the design and modeling phase through execution and optimization... In addition, as a group, leaders exhibit superior sales and marketing execution. Many leaders exhibit strong innovation in their products, business models, and consulting and educational services. Many of these vendors have introduced new SaaS offerings and BPO alliances, and are developing their partner ecosystems to support a BPP. We anticipate that these vendors will continue to be leaders through 2011, as interest in BPMS continues to grow, companies expand investments in continuous process improvement and formalize their BPP."

As enterprises seek to optimize business processes, decisions, and actions, they are increasingly turning to products such as TIBCO's Business Process Management (BPM) solution, TIBCO iProcess™ Suite, which is built on an open architecture and delivers end-to-end process management that encompasses modeling, design, deployment and execution.

"We believe TIBCO's position in the Leaders quadrant is a direct result of the value we provide to thousands of customers using our BPM offerings," said Rourke McNamara, director of product marketing at TIBCO. "TIBCO's leadership is demonstrated by our ability to execute and deliver flexible, end-to-end business process solutions that enable companies to move seamlessly from modeling through to execution to quickly unlock business value and realize greater business agility."
