liveBooks Hosts "Art on Art" Composition Webinars With Photographer Art Wolfe

Free, Online Seminars Help Photo Professionals Grow Their Businesses, Learn New Skills

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - May 27, 2009) - liveBooks, Inc. (www.livebooks.com), the leading provider of customized portfolio websites and marketing software for professional photographers, has announced a free, three-part webinar series about composition with world renowned nature photographer Art Wolfe.

In the "Art on Art" series, Wolfe will share insights from his 30-year career as a photographer and discuss points of view, focal lengths and lighting on June 10 at 11 a.m. PT, July 6 at 3 p.m. PT and Aug. 4 at 11 a.m. PT, respectively. There is no fee associated with the webinars; participants are asked to register by visiting liveBooks' webinar calendar and selecting the session they would like to attend.

"Over the years, I've come to learn a number of tricks that can really make an image pop, create a sense of drama and help viewers connect with the subject," said Wolfe. "I hope to pass along some of that knowledge during this series and help other photographers view their subjects in a new light."

Wolfe is best known for his photographs of wildlife, landscapes and native cultures, and his mastery of color, composition and perspective. He has taken more than one million images in his lifetime and has released more than 60 books, two of which made Graphis' list of the 100 best books published in the 1990s. In May 2007, Wolfe made his public television debut with the high definition series "Art Wolfe's Travels to the Edge"; the first season garnered American Public Television's 2007 Programming Excellence Award and was seen by 33 million viewers.

"We are thrilled that Art has agreed to share his work and his exceptional understanding of the industry with our liveBooks community," said Andy Patrick, CEO and president of liveBooks. "The ongoing webinars we offer are a wonderful way for photographers to continue to grow and learn as professionals, and we are honored to have someone of Art's caliber joining this effort."

In addition to Wolfe's three-part series, liveBooks' webinar participants will also have the opportunity to attend an ongoing series dubbed "Perfecting Your Workflow with Lightroom" this summer with professional wedding photographer and photography instructor Jared Platt.

Other one-time sessions and educational series that have been offered in the past by the likes of Ian Summers, Louisa Curtis and co-presenters Amanda Sosa Stone and Suzanne Seaze can be viewed at any time by visiting liveBooks' webinar archive.
