- On June 9th, OMAoG wants Canadians to log as many acts as possible as a
final push before the program goes international on July 1st.
- To transfer your OMAoG account to the new international site go to
http://tinyurl.com/ksvlgx.
- To date our OMAoG community includes 46,452 members who together logged
1,663,813 acts totaling 94,038,935 kg of greenhouse gas emissions saved.
- The goal of 1 million acts was reached in February -- four months ahead
of schedule.
- The program gained the support of some of Canada's top businesses
including BMO, TD Bank Financial Group, Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, MTS
Allstream, Tim Hortons and TELUS.
- The campaign demonstrates that we are stronger together than we are apart. Together, people and technology are able to make positive changes for the sake of our planet. That's the human network effect.
- School-aged children across the country are invited to participate in a
live online webcast via Cisco WebEx™ -- "Small Steps Make a Big
Difference" presented by Dr. David Suzuki and the David Suzuki Foundation,
and moderated by George Stroumboulopoulos.
- The first 20 participating schools will receive 36 free trees to plant
on school property, courtesy of Cisco and PlantBest
(www.plantbest.com).
- To date, more than 120 schools across the country have registered to
participate.
- Check out the 10 new summer acts and add them to your tally.
