Universal Detection Technology and German Defense Firm Centurio Sign Distribution Agreement Covering NATO Countries

Distribution Agreement Covers UNDT's Bio-detection Equipment Recently Certified by DHS as An Approved Homeland Security Product


LOS ANGELES, Aug. 4, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Universal Detection Technology (www.udetection.com) (OTCBB:UNDT), a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism and other infectious health threats and provider of counter-terrorism consulting and training services, reported today that is signed a distribution agreement with Centurio, a German based defense equipment firm focused on sales to NATO affiliated countries.

According to the Agreement, Centurio will distribute UNDT's Bio-Weapons Detection Systems including the 5-agent bio-detection kits which recently received Department of Homeland Security Certification.

UNDT's 5-agent detection equipment has been extensively used by first responders and private industry throughout the country. The equipment has been evaluated by the U.S. DOD as well as the United Kingdom military. The equipment's capacities include:
