Fluent Mobile Debuts First iPhone Search Feature That Spans Top News Sources

Fluent News Also Adds Customization and New Sharing Features

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - August 17, 2009) - Fluent Mobile, a mobile content organization and delivery company, today debuted the first iPhone search feature that spans news stories from top national sources. In an important update to its popular Fluent News application, Fluent News is the first iPhone application to allow users to perform keyword searches across top news sources. Fluent News also launched its first customization feature, which lets users save articles to a separate "Saved" section. Additionally, Fluent News now offers in-app email, so users can easily share articles without leaving the Fluent News application.

"Fluent Mobile is bringing the speed and convenience of browsing news on desktop to mobile," said Micah Adler, Fluent Mobile's CEO and founder. "The response to our first release of Fluent News has been overwhelmingly positive. Our latest features further enhance the mobile news experience, providing the most convenient connection to hundreds of articles anywhere and anytime."

Each of the 12 Fluent News sections presents up to 50 articles chosen by Fluent's content relevancy algorithms that organize and prioritize the most important stories. The new search feature adds additional breadth and depth to Fluent News by giving readers the ability to find specific news stories and view past coverage by searching on keywords. The search functionality allows users to view and find a broad range of articles, even those that are not in the news today. In addition, all search results are formatted specifically for the iPhone.

The saved articles feature, the first of several customizations planned for Fluent News, gives users easy access to articles they want to read later. Fluent News also included some new features designed to improve the ease of sharing articles from within the application, including in-app email and customizable Twitter posts (both available to users with OS 3.0 or later).

Fluent News debuted in July 2009, offering the first iPhone and iPod Touch application to aggregate exclusively made-for-mobile content from the most trusted news sources across the Web into a single, easy-to-read and up-to-the-minute mobile newspaper. The application will continue to feature all mobile content from the top news sources, a full range of sections, instant access to full articles in any section (without waiting for browser windows to open and load), constant updates and offline access.

Fluent News is available free-of-charge from Apple's App Store on the iPhone or at http://www.itunes.com/app/FluentNews
