Workscape's Second Annual Hunger Awareness "Gives Back" Road Tour Kicks Off From the 12th Annual HR Technology Conference

Leading HR Software & Services Provider Takes to the Road, Making Donations to Local Food Pantries

MARLBOROUGH, MA--(Marketwire - October 2, 2009) - 12th Annual HR Technology Conference, CHICAGO -- With the onsite support of trade show attendees, customers and local citizens, Workscape, Inc., a leading provider of integrated HR solutions and services, started its second annual Workscape "Gives Back" road trip from the 12th Annual HR Technology Conference and Exhibition at McCormick Center in Chicago yesterday. The second annual Gives Back tour builds upon the success of Workscape's 2008 tour, which received significant media attention as company representatives visited 10 different cities between Boston and Chicago while en route to the 11th Annual HR Technology Conference. This year, the "Gives Back" tour commences at the close of the 12th annual event and includes onsite visits to food banks in Chicago; Milwaukee, Wis.; Toledo, Ohio; Ann Arbor, Mich.; Omaha, Neb. as well as Boise, Idaho where Workscape has its on-shore HR Service Center.

Unique to this year's "Gives Back" initiative, Workscape offered attendees at the HR Technology Conference an opportunity to support the cause of hunger awareness by making a donation on the show floor. Workscape will then match that amount and add it to the total donation at each stop on the tour, effectively doubling the purchasing power of those funds contributed by attendees.

Leaving McCormick Place in Chicago for the first leg of the trip in a high-performance 2010 Chevrolet Camaro, initial visits will be made to community food banks in Chicago and Milwaukee. On October 5, 2009, the Workscape drivers switch to a new fuel efficient Chevrolet Malibu to visit food banks in Toledo, Ann Arbor, and Omaha. The company will also make a donation to a food bank in Kansas City, Mo. before ending the trip at Workscape's West coast offices in Boise, Idaho.

Workscape's Boise-based HR Service Center, which combines state-of-the-art technology and industry best practices to provide complete, cost-effective handling of employee benefits questions, case management, and more, is leveraged for benefits administration support by many of the world's industry leaders. There, Workscape's Boise employees will participate by making a donation to a local community food bank.

Workscape's President and CEO Tim Clifford said, "With unemployment at record highs, hunger has now reached a point where those individuals who used to donate to food pantries are instead relying on them. Our 'Gives Back' campaign has been designed to address this growing concern as well as honor our customers through support of their local food pantries."

Ed Hurley-Wales, Workscape's senior vice president, Human Resources, commented, "Workscape is proud to do our part to proactively address the increasing hunger issue in the United States by orchestrating this annual road trip. Workscape 'Gives Back' is consistent with our commitment to corporate social responsibility and provides a direct means for our employees to positively impact those in need."

The progress of the "Gives Back" tour can be followed on social media networks including Twitter, YouTube and by visiting Workscape's blog, which is accessible from www.workscape.com.
