Three Animation Veterans From Film Roman, "The Simpsons" and "King of the Hill" Launch Bento Box Entertainment

BURBANK, CA--(Marketwire - October 16, 2009) - Bento Box Entertainment (www.bentoboxent.com), a new production company founded by three prominent animation veterans, has been launched to develop and produce animated and live action series and films as well as interactive and new media properties. In addition to providing a full roster of production capabilities to their studio partners, Bento Box will develop its own original projects, capitalizing on the principals' close relationships with artists, writers, and other content creators as well as distribution and funding entities. Partnering to head the firm are Scott Greenberg, former President and Chief Operating Officer of Film Roman, Joel Kuwahara, a veteran producer on "The Simpsons," and Mark McJimsey, longtime producer on "King of the Hill."

As its first high profile project, Bento Box will produce for Twentieth Century Fox Television in conjunction with Jeffrey Katzenberg and DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. (NASDAQ: DWA), the upcoming prime-time animated series "Neighbors From Hell," which premieres on TBS in the summer of 2010. The half hour comedy series follows the Hellmans, a family of four sent to Earth from the Underworld disguised as normal suburbanites on an un-holy mission to save humans from a hellish fate. Jeffrey Katzenberg, Pam Brady and Mireille Soria are executive producers. Bento Box principal Joel Kuwahara will serve as supervising producer of the series.

The company's partners bring comprehensive and impressive entertainment industry credentials to the new venture. As President and Chief Operating Officer of animation powerhouse Film Roman, Scott Greenberg oversaw day-to-day operations of the company, including content development, production services, original production and personnel management of a 600 employee roster.

Most recently supervising producer at Film Roman and the digital producer on the ABC series "The Goode Family," Kuwahara was Emmy nominated as a producer on "The Simpsons."

Mark McJimsey was producer on the FOX series "King of the Hill" since the show's inception and recently was supervising producer on the ABC series "The Goode Family." He won an Emmy Award in 1999 when "King of the Hill" was honored as "Outstanding Animated Series" and received four nominations in all for his work on that groundbreaking series.
