IT Distribution Industry Organization Continues Global Expansion

New Members Added in Asia, Europe and Latin America

ST. PETERSBURG, FL--(Marketwire - October 21, 2009) - The Global Technology Distribution Council (GTDC), the world's largest consortium of IT distributors, today announced the addition of six new members: AB SA based in Wroclaw, Poland; Computer Gross, headquartered in Empoli, Italy, near Florence; Munich, Germany-based Computerlinks; Miami-based Intcomex, which does business throughout Latin America; SiS Technologies, headquartered in Hong Kong; and UK-based 20:20 Mobile, located in Crewe (Northwest England). These new members offer a broad range of technology products and services in their targeted markets across Europe, Asia and Latin America.

"The GTDC started out in the United States in 1998 and has continually built on a strong foundation that is rapidly expanding across the globe," commented GTDC CEO Tim Curran, noting that its members' sales exceed more than $100 billion in annual revenue. "We are dedicated to the IT distribution industry, its growing value and continually evolving success in meeting the needs of today's technology vendors, resellers, solution providers and retailers worldwide. This includes supporting ongoing supply chain innovation and efficiency advances on behalf of our members and their vendor partners."

Curran explained that the GTDC's expansion in Europe will further enhance the European technology sales tracking service that the GTDC supports. Introduced in December 2007 by leading European IT market research company, Context, the SalesWatch -- Distribution service provides the most complete market data available today on product sell-through in Europe's IT distribution market. It follows the success of a similar service, the NPD Group Distributor Track®, in the United States. That offering, introduced in October 2002, and the Context service are both available by subscription.

Publicly held AB SA is traded on the Warsaw Stock Exchange under the symbol "ABPL" and serves resellers and retailers in Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Computer Gross has offices throughout Italy and also serves a broad range of reseller channel customers in this country. Computerlinks' reseller channel-focused business extends across Western Europe and the Middle East as well as the United States. 20:20 Mobile Group is now Europe's leading mobile handset distributor and in the top three globally. Intcomex, now in its 20th year, is one of the largest distributors throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. SiS Technologies, publicly traded on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKSE: 0529), is one of Asia's largest distributors of computer systems, software, peripherals and networking products.
