LOS ANGELES, Dec. 31, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Englander & Associates announced today that effective tomorrow, Englander and Associates will change its name to Englander Knabe & Allen (EK&A).

"Matt Knabe and Marcus Allen have become equity partners in the firm and this name change reflects their leadership and success in building a firm. Eric Rose, Ruben Gonzales, Paul Haney and Andy Casana continue as partners in the Los Angeles office and Tony Rice remains our partner in Sacramento at Rice/Englander & Associates. Adam Englander has added the duties of General Counsel to his position as Vice President of the firm," said Managing Partner Harvey A. Englander.

Englander Knabe & Allen is the fastest growing communications firm in Southern California. EK&A provides strategic advocacy, government affairs, crisis management, litigation support and PR services to corporate, government, and non-profit clients. EK&A has more than 60 clients and offices in Los Angeles and Sacramento. Since the company opened its doors in March 2005, it has become the 8th largest independent public relations agency in Los Angeles County and number fourteen on the Los Angeles Business Journal's list of fastest growing private companies in Southern California.

"The new company name accurately reflects the transformation and strategic direction of our business. There is no question that Matt and Marcus have been integral to the successes we've enjoyed, and we strongly believe that adding them to the firm's equity partnership is a positive step for the future of the firm," added Englander.

EKA provides strategic counsel to clients on a wide range of issues, with particular focus on, and experience in, reputation and crisis management, litigation support, public affairs, government advocacy, media relations, community relations, financial communications and marketing material development.

"In this very tough economic climate, companies, trade associations and other major institutions are turning to Englander Knabe & Allen because they want to solve problems, they want results, and most importantly, they need and expect senior level counsel at every step," said Englander.
