Weight Loss Spells W-O-R-K -- Vegetarian Dietitian Fights Obesity Through Self-help Manual

NICE, Calif., Jan. 8, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Clinical dietitian Kathleen DuChene takes a definitive step to address the next number one killer disease sweeping across America, as she announces today the release of her book, Trust Your Dietitian. Released through Xlibris, DuChene's book explores the necessary lifestyle changes needed to curb the alarming rates of obesity in the country.

Trust Your Dietitian is a comprehensive self-help guide that opens up the world of fad diets, diet pills, disease, and proper nutrition and exercise. DuChene has designed the book to educate readers on every aspect concerned with the tied-up fields of diet and nutrition, disease, lifestyle, and the medical community. Through the book, DuChene aims to demystify the fallacious and erroneous notions about diet and nutrition, and serves up a sobering dose of reality of just what it takes to lose weight, stay healthy, and keep the weight off for life.

DuChene finely combs through the most important information on curbing obesity. She runs readers through simplified explanations of the mechanisms of metabolism, and the relationship between diet and disease. Once through with the more scientific aspects, DuChene proceeds with the more practical segment of obesity control, from the truths and realities regarding dieting and long-term weight loss, through meal planning and grocery shopping, and exercising. As well, DuChene includes bonus on the healthful properties of herbs (A to Z Herbology) and tips on spicing up mealtime (Fun Things To Do With Food).

Obesity has become the most steadily rising disease in children and adults in America, threatening to unseat heart disease in the number one spot. With the spread of obesity, other closely related diseases have proportionately risen, including heart disease, cancers, diabetes, gastrointestinal diseases, and others. DuChene's Trust Your Dietitian promises to create a considerable impact in the movement to curtail the alarming rise of obesity.
