Revisit the Humble Beginnings of 'The Hill' -- Author Willis J. Pierre Reveals the Rich Legacy of The Hill School's History

TRAPPE, Pa., Jan. 11, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Every school has its unique history; and this remarkable account shares that of The Hill School in Pennsylvania. Authored by Willis J. Pierre, the two volumes of Whatsoever Things Are True celebrate the foundation of this prestigious school through an amusing and comprehensive record of the people who have built, worked, and lived parts of its history.

An active faculty member for thirty-two years, Pierre found joy in tracing the humble beginnings of The Hill School. Spending a significant amount of time with the school's archives, he was able to derive valuable information from files and letters written by former headmasters and faculty. He was also able to access directories, maps, photos, and newspaper clippings of Pottstown, Pennsylvania -- the town where the school is located.

Whatsoever Things Are True Volumes 1 & 2 revisit the year when Reverend Matthew Meigs founded the school and other special moments during the school's development. They highlight the significant characters-a number of faculty, staff, and students -- in the school's one hundred fifty-eight year history and their positive contributions for making "The Hill" the outstanding secondary school it is today.

In addition to its informative theme, Whatsoever Things Are True is also written as a labor of love and a work of art. Compiled with memorable photographs, this book encourages readers to cherish, remember, and enjoy "The Hill" just as much as the author enjoyed writing about it.
