Kay Fay Shares Life's Journey Through Poetry -- Golden-aged Poetess Looks Back on Younger Days and Deals With Getting On

KERRVILLE, Texas, Jan. 15, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Poetess Kay Fay looks back on her teaching days, offers philosophical thoughts on getting on, and more with her engaging poetry collection, Meanderings of An Aged Mind, published through Xlibris.

Fay brings to the literary forefront the thoughts that sometimes cross the mind of a golden-ager through pleasing rhyme. Readers will journey through the different alleys of life as viewed from Fay's ripened poetic perspective.

The collection will reveal Fay looking back on her teaching years as she frames a typical bad day for an eighth-grader, the hormonal frivolity of teenage girls, and the untouchable charmed life of youth. Recognizing the duality of the coin, the author exposes the dark side of being young, discussing the lamentable realities of abortion and violence.

From there, Fay moves on to bigger ideas with rhythmic pieces of her thoughts on the environment and the world and poetic expressions of her feelings on poverty. Fay then journeys inward in contemplation of her life, retirement, the joys and pains of marriage, being a grandparent, and the subtle signs of age. Ultimately solemn, the gentle poetess reflects upon her spirituality with direct poetical addresses to God, rhyming prayers and thoughts on her afterlife expectations of heaven.

On the whole, Meanderings of An Aged Mind is Kay Fay's sincere and thoughtful exposition on life's phases and the abundant other things in between, as demonstrated through her own life experiences. For more information on this book, interested parties can log on to www.Xlibris.com.
