Arizona Pro Solar Gallops to the Rescue of Arizona Horse Lovers Park With $2,500 Donation

PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwire - March 26, 2010) -   Ross and Kathy Libonati announced today that Arizona Pro Solar provided a $2,500 donation to the group's effort to save Arizona Horse Lovers Park from being closed by the City of Phoenix, which needed to trim $241 million from its operating budget.

Arizona Horse Lovers Park is the only public equine park in the Phoenix area capable of hosting horse shows, roping, drill team, gymkhanas and other horse events.

"A core group of horse lovers has raised more than $25,000 through generous donations from wonderful companies such as Arizona Pro Solar to keep our operations going," said Ross Libonati, Scottsdale Saddle Club's President. "We are, however, still actively trying to raise another $75,000 to fund the Horse Lovers Park operations through December 31, 2010."

Horse lovers, equestrian professionals and corporate sponsors that want to help the group's fundraising efforts can make an online credit card donation to the Arizona Horse Lovers Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit group, at: http://www.scottsdalesaddleclub.com.

Arizona Horse Lovers Park is open for public use from Wednesday through Sunday.  A Recreation Pass is required from sunrise to sunset, unless the park is closed for special events or rented for exclusive use.

Evening open arena hours are 6-9 p.m., Wednesday-Thursday, unless closed due to weather, special event or holiday.

Trails and trail heads are still open seven days a week. For last minute arena closures, rainouts or changes call (602) 534-9995 for recorded messages.

Arizona Horse Lovers Park consists of four equestrian arenas:

  1. The Main Arena is a 360' x 180', lighted arena that features an announcer's stand, bleacher seating, and public address system.
  2. The second arena, Horse Lovers Arena, (roping) is a lighted 270' x 140' pipe rail arena with announcer's stand, bleacher seating, and public address system.
  3. The third arena, Schuff Arena, (cutting) is a 250' x 104' pipe rail arena that also offers lights, announcer's stand, bleacher seats, and public address system.
