Junior League of Orange County, CA, Offers Opportunity Drawing to Raise Funds


NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., March 30, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Junior League of Orange County, Calif., (JLOCC) is offering an opportunity drawing as its Spring fundraiser. One thousand tickets will be available for a price of $50 each at the Junior League headquarters, 5140 Campus Drive, Newport Beach, or from League members.  

 The winning ticket for a Grand Prize of $10,000 will be drawn at an evening event starting at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, at Andrei's Conscious Cuisine, 2607 Main Street, Irvine. Admission is free to the No-Host party. A portion of the proceeds from food purchases will be donated to the Junior League.

 All tickets must be turned in at the Junior League headquarters by 5:00 p.m., May 7, or by 7:30 p.m., May 8, at the event to be held at Andrei's Conscious Cuisine to qualify for the drawing. The winner does not need to be present. More information is available on the Junior League website www.jlocc.org.

Funds raised annually by the JLOCC directly impact the community through collaborative projects with partner organizations and support JLOCC's mission of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community.  This year's projects include the Orangewood Children's Foundation Kinship Project; Orangewood Mentoring Program Activities Project; Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) Reading Program; Florence Crittenton Services Project; Court-Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Emancipated Youth Program; Impact Orange County; and Bear Hugs, a JLOCC project supporting emancipated teens in Orange County.
