Englander, Knabe & Allen Continues to Grow in Sluggish Economy

PR Firm Moves Up on LA Business Journal Ranking

LOS ANGELES, March 31, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Englander, Knabe & Allen (EK&A), a leader in public affairs consulting, today announced that it ranked number seven in fee income for 2009 on the newly released list of independent public relations firms in a survey conducted by the Los Angeles Business Journal.

The Los Angeles Business Journal commented, "Another relatively new agency saw revenue increase. Englander, Knabe and Allen, formerly Englander & Associates, saw fees increase by $600,000 to $5.1 million last year. The L.A. firm was founded by Harvey Englander in 2005 and generated the highest fees per professional among local firms."

"The new ranking is reflective of our practice of only having experienced, senior staff in our firm. This, along with the tremendous amount of hard work and perseverance among all the partners and senior associates has allowed us to experience sustained growth even in the worst of economic times," said Harvey Englander, managing partner at EK&A. "We would not have been able to weather the economic storm without an exceptional team of talented individuals, and we attribute our success to our strong commitment to create the best public affairs, lobbying, crisis management and media relations firm in Southern California. By listening to our clients and staying focused, we have found that you can be successful, even during tough economic times," added Englander.

The LABJ study showed that Englander, Knabe & Allen was the top-ranked firm showing growth from 2008 to 2009 and it showed that the firm had the most growth of the 15 highest ranked firms in the report.

"Moving up on the list of the top public relations firms is particularly important in a year marked by the economic downturn. We are seeing our business grow because companies, trade associations and other major institutions are turning to our firm because they want to solve problems, they want results, and most importantly, they need and expect senior level counsel at every step," said Englander.

Englander, Knabe & Allen's client roster includes Motorola, Downey Hospital, LegalZoom, Juniper Networks, Burlington Northern Santa Fe, AT&T, Westfield, Magellan Health Services and the Los Angeles Police Protective League. EK&A provides strategic counsel to clients on a wide range of issues, with particular focus on, and experience in, reputation and crisis management, litigation support, public affairs, government advocacy, media relations, community relations, financial communications and marketing material development.
