Charity Golf Tournament to Benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

BOISE, Idaho, April 30, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Syringa Networks, provider of high-speed fiber optic telecommunications services, today announced that they are hosting a charity golf tournament on June 21st at the Boise Ranch Golf Course in support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).

Each year, Boise, Idaho plays host to the LLS Light the Night Walk -- one of only two such LLS fundraisers in the Northwest. Syringa Networks CEO Greg Lowe is serving as this year's Corporate Walk Chair and has restructured the company's annual golf tournament to benefit the LLS. Through a combination of corporate giving and sponsorships, the charity golf tournament is expected to raise more than $15,000.00 for the LLS.

"We are honored to have been selected by the LLS to take a leadership role in this year's walk," remarks Lowe. "We understand the important role local businesses play in the community and are working closely with our customers, vendors and partners to make this year's walk a benchmark event for the LLS."

Major sponsors: Idaho Telecom Alliance, Adva Optical Networking, Fujitsu, and Rocks Water.

Other sponsors include: Metaswitch Networks, 360 Networks, TW Telecom, Regence Blue Cross, and Travis Jeffries, P.A.

The golf tournament will begin at 8am at the Boise Ranch Golf Course. Golfers will enjoy a breakfast bar, luncheon and awards ceremony.
