Prakash Karamchandani, Krish Vijayaraghavan and Kristen Lohman bring a wealth of expertise and experience in air quality model development and applications, risk assessment, multi-media modeling, emissions modeling and litigation support. Prakash Karamchandani, Senior Manager, has over 25 years of model development and project management experience for issues such as subgrid-scale modeling, ozone, particulate matter, visibility, acid deposition, nitrogen deposition, mercury and other air toxics. He has played major or lead roles in the development, application and evaluation of a variety of advanced air quality models including CMAQ-MADRID, CMAQ-MADRID-APT and CMAQ-APT (also known as AMSTERDAM), WRF-Chem, SCICHEM, the Trace Elements Analysis Model (TEAM) and the Visibility Assessment for Regional Emissions Distributions (VARED) model.
Krish Vijayaraghavan, Senior Manager, has research interests in air quality modeling and linkages with watershed models and emissions models. Krish has 13 years' experience in air quality modeling and analysis and has directed modeling studies of photochemical air pollution (ozone, particulate matter), exposure to air toxics, and the deposition of mercury, nitrogen and sulfur. He is experienced with a wide spectrum of air quality models (e.g., ISC, AERMOD, CMAQ, CAMx, REMSAD, TEAM, CMAQ-MADRID-APT/AMSTERDAM) and emissions models such as CONCEPT and SMOKE. He has provided litigation support and expert witness testimony on mercury.
In addition to Prakash and Krish, Kristen Lohman joins the firm as a Senior Associate with more than 13 years' experience in multimedia modeling of the fate and transport of chemicals in the environment and the assessment of associated health and ecological risks.
