Sauce Labs' Jason Huggins Named as InfoWorld Top 25 CTO for 2010

Co-Founder and Creator of Selenium Recognized for Industry Leadership

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - June 3, 2010) -  Sauce Labs (http://www.saucelabs.com), the Selenium Company, today announced that Jason Huggins, the creator of Selenium and co-founder of Sauce Labs, has been named to IDG's InfoWorld CTO 25, an honor awarded to senior IT executives who have demonstrated leadership within their companies and in the IT community.

"I'm honored to receive this award," said Huggins. "It really validates the importance of Selenium and functional testing in general -- and I'm glad to be a part of this growing and dedicated community."

Huggins' expertise in functional testing stems from his tenure at Google and ThoughtWorks where he first created the Selenium testing framework in 2004. He currently leads product direction at Sauce Labs, whose Sauce OnDemand service allows users to run automated cross-browser functional tests in the cloud without having to maintain or update test infrastructure on-premise. More than 3 million people have turned to the open source Selenium project for automated cross-browser testing.

"For many in IT, 2009 was a nuclear winter, with resources stripped away as companies struggled to survive. Yet many were tasked with using IT to increase the company's efficiency, enter the few new growth markets, or fix a fundamental problem that threatened the company's ability to stay in business," said Galen Gruman, Executive Editor/News and Features, InfoWorld. "Some technology leaders rose to the challenge, despite the lack of resources. That's a common situation for many of this year's InfoWorld CTO 25 Award winners."

Each year, InfoWorld honors IT executives who have shown leadership both inside and outside their companies. Nominations are reviewed and winners selected by the InfoWorld executive editorial team.
