Penwest Announces That the Results of Its Annual Meeting Have Been Certified


PATTERSON, N.Y., June 30, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Penwest Pharmaceuticals Co. (Nasdaq:PPCO) today announced that IVS Associates, Inc., the independent inspector of election for the Company's Annual Meeting of Shareholders, held on June 22, 2010, has certified the final voting results of the meeting.

The certified results confirmed that Penwest shareholders voted to elect Roderick Wong, Saiid Zarrabian, and John G. Lemkey as directors.
