Seattle to be Last Stop on Siemens Answers for Industry Tour

Learn How Energy Efficiency, Automation and Services are Transforming Business

ATLANTA, July 15, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- After nearly 3,000 attendees in five cities, Siemens Industry, Inc. today announced that the sixth and final stop for its Answers for Industry (AFI) conference will be Seattle. The two-day conference, which focuses on enhancing competitiveness through efficient manufacturing, green buildings and renewable energy, will take place Aug. 24-25, 2010, at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue, Wash.

"The Answers for Industry conference was created to help our customers answer the toughest questions facing their industries today by bringing Siemens portfolio of solutions directly to them where they work and live," said Daryl Dulaney, president and CEO, Siemens Industry, Inc. "While this will be the last AFI conference, Siemens is committed to becoming America's partner in industry and infrastructure and will continue to seek innovative ways to engage with our customers to increase their sustainability through productivity improvements, energy efficiency and flexibility both on the plant floor and in the office."

Designed for manufacturers, engineers, OEMs, integrators and end users, the AFI conference is two days of seminars, networking, best practice sharing and a technology showcase. In Seattle, attendees will be able to customize their agendas by selecting from 40 seminars led by industry experts and focusing on six tracks: Automation, Building Technology, Electrical, Motors & Drives, Sustainability and Water & Environmental. They can choose to attend the conference a half day, one day or both days. As with past conferences, there is no cost to attend, but registration is required.

AFI in Seattle will feature the largest technology showcase to-date — 18,000 square feet where attendees can experience the latest in Siemens products, systems and solutions in an informal, hands-on environment. Siemens technology experts, partners, distributors and senior executives will also be on hand to discuss how attendees can employ Siemens solutions for their specific applications to help increase productivity, reduce costs and strengthen competitiveness.

Although this is a no-cost event, registration is required. For more information on the AFI or to register for the conference, visit www.sea.siemens.com/answersevent.
