Natoma Technologies Receives National Best Fit Integrator Award From Center for Digital Government

Key Component in EPA Recognized Program

SACRAMENTO, CA--(Marketwire - August 5, 2010) -  Natoma Technologies, Inc., an innovative provider of information technology and software services, announced today it received the Best Fit Integrator Collaboration Award in Transportation and Environment from the Center for Digital Government for its Clean Trucks Registry system at the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles, California.

The Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles selected Natoma to design, develop, and implement a new Port-owned Drayage Truck Registry (PDTR) system as a key feature for their landmark Clean Trucks Program. The Natoma-developed PDTR includes a secure database system that contains over 16,000 drayage trucks and 1,000 Licensed Motor Carrier (LMC) companies providing drayage services to the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles. The PDTR system enables the ports to manage and verify that all drayage trucks comply with the Clean Trucks Program's rigorous environmental and business standards. The Clean Trucks Program has reduced air pollution from harbor trucks by nearly 80 percent as of January 1, 2010.

The Natoma-developed PDTR is a key component of the Clean Trucks Program that received the United States EPA Environmental Justice award for reducing harmful air emission impacts to surrounding communities. The PDTR provides automated e-mail alerts and notifications, VIN validation and interface with the California Statewide Drayage Truck Registry, the ability to pay annual truck fees online, database queries from smart phones, and the ability to easily generate LMC fleet or individual detailed truck information.

"Natoma is honored to again be nominated by our clients as a Best Fit Integrator," said Wyatt Dietrich, Vice President and Chief Operations Officer for Natoma Technologies. "In 2007, we received a Best Fit Integrator Award for Reinvention in Health and Human Services for the service-oriented architecture (SOA) solution we developed for the California Department of Health Care Services to interface in real-time with the Federal Social Security Administration databases."
