Data Robotics' Malissa King Named a 'Power 100 Woman of the Channel' by CRN Magazine

SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwire - August 10, 2010) -  Data Robotics, Inc. ("Drobo"), the company that is changing the way the world stores and protects digital content, today announced that Malissa King, Vice President of Sales, has been recognized as a Power 100 Woman of the Channel by CRN Magazine. The "Who's Who" list honors female executives who epitomize success, and recognizes their accomplishments over the past year and the far-reaching impact they are having on the technology industry going forward.

Recognizing the vital role of channel partners in the ongoing growth and success of Data Robotics, King joined the company in 2007 with the mission to strengthen existing, new, and potential channel partner relationships. To date, over 125,000 Drobo units have been sold through the channel worldwide, providing partners an innovative and radically simplified storage solution to deliver to end-users. King is responsible for leading and developing worldwide channel strategy and launching the Drobo Partner Advantage (DPA) program which now includes over 1,700 channel partners worldwide, offering enhanced education, training and marketing tools.

"Women hold many prominent executive positions at vendor organizations, distributors and solution provider organizations, providing critical insight and influence when it comes to technology and the channel. We want to honor and congratulate these women for their contributions to the industry and their respective organizations," said Kelley Damore, VP, Editorial Director, Everything Channel.

"It is an honor to be recognized along with the intelligent, innovative, and influential women receiving this award," said Malissa King, VP of sales, Data Robotics, Inc. "This is an accomplishment that speaks to the quality of the technology. Drobos are re-defining how small and medium businesses are managing their growing digital assets and the demand for innovative technology is reflected in the record sales of Drobos experienced last quarter. Now more than ever, we are devoted to developing and expanding our strategic channel partner programs to meet these customer demands."

A special feature of the Women of the Channel is in the July issue of CRN Magazine and expanded coverage will be featured online at www.crn.com.
