MARLBOROUGH, MA--(Marketwire - August 18, 2010) - Egenera Inc. announced today the appointment of Jim Bandanza as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. A 25-year industry veteran with extensive experience leading, managing, and creating go-to-market strategies for technology companies, Bandanza will be responsible for Worldwide Sales, as well as Egenera's Professional and Customer Service organizations.

Prior to Egenera, Bandanza held several executive leadership positions at RSA, The Security Division of EMC. Most recently, he was Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Field Operations, where he led Sales and Professional Services organizations worldwide. Before that, Bandanza was RSA's Senior Vice President of Field Operations, and was a critical member of the management team when EMC acquired RSA for $2.1 billion in 2005. Prior to RSA, Jim held senior roles with Stream International, Versys Inc, BBN and LTX Corporation. He holds a Bachelor of Business Degree from Northeastern University.
