Mitchell International Announces ClaimIQ(TM) Scene Diagram

Solution Enhances Speed, Consistency and Control of the Claim Handling Process With State-of-the-Art Graphical Accident Depiction Capabilities

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - August 31, 2010) - Mitchell International, Inc., a leading provider of information, workflow and performance management solutions to the Property & Casualty claims and Collision Repair industries, today announced the general release of Mitchell ClaimIQ™ version 2.19 -- the latest release of the market-leading expert claims decision support system for property and casualty (P&C) insurance carriers. Dubbed "Scene Diagram" by Mitchell's customer community, ClaimIQ version 2.19 improves adjusters' investigative consistency and efficiency by allowing them to graphically depict the chain of events leading up to a vehicle accident. Far beyond a drawing tool, Scene Diagram provides claims professionals and their claim handling partners a clear, concise and accurate visualization of the claim incident across the investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and settlement process.

This latest release expands ClaimIQ's extensive support for liability claims handlers. Scene Diagram capabilities include:

  • Preloaded common intersection templates that help speed diagram completion.
  • Integrated satellite image overlay with Microsoft® Bing™ Maps combines diagram with actual photograph of accident location for a clearer representation of the scene.
  • Multiple color and labeling options combined with a wide selection of common accident objects to help ensure consistency, clarity and scale of the scene diagram.
  • Dynamic animation provides ability to link multiple diagrams together to see the accident happen.
  • Exportable diagrams available in a variety of formats allow users to easily share with other claims handling partners, other party's insurance company, attorneys, or recovery personnel.
  • Available as a value added feature of ClaimIQ or as a stand-alone application.

"We actively engage our customers in our software development process, and the enhancements provided with ClaimIQ's latest release are largely based on our customers' input and feedback," said John Gilmartin, Vice President of Product Management & Operations, Mitchell International. "Scene Diagram delivers the new functionality and enhanced flexibility that our customers have requested to assist their efforts to continuously raise the bar around superior claims service delivery to their policyholders."
