Data Storage Corporation Promotes Matthew P. Grosso to Executive Vice President


GARDEN CITY, NY--(Marketwire - October 21, 2010) -  Data Storage Corporation, a provider of data recovery and business continuity solutions, today announced that Matthew P. Grosso has been promoted to executive vice president of the Data Storage Corporation unit. 

Mr. Grosso will be responsible for business development and expanding the DSC Partnership Program. He will also continue to have operational, data center and product development responsibilities for the Data Storage Corporation unit.

Prior to joining Data Storage Corporation, Mr. Grosso held numerous executive positions as president/managing partner, VP, general manager, practice manager and sales director for companies focused on technology consulting, systems integration and value-added product solutions.

His 24 year professional career started with Blue-Chip AT&T and has been balanced between technology, business development, sales and management. As an executive VP at a technology consulting start-up, he successfully managed the sales channel and vendor partnership programs with Cisco and AT&T (among others) and, led the sales teams to consistent year-over-year growth. His company was the first international partner to obtain the contract rights with India partner, Data Access, to offer VoIP phone service between India and the USA in 2002.

Some notable achievements for Mr. Grosso have been the support and leadership on the service activation of many AT&T-lead worldwide Undersea Fiber Optic Cable systems in use today as well as the sales leadership and joint project management of the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta, where his AT&T team provided worldwide TV broadcast and news media data transmission.

Mr. Grosso has built and managed sales and consultant teams focusing on telecommunications, data communications and network hardware integration, winning many awards for sales excellence and channel partner leadership.

He earned his B.S. degree in electrical engineering, specializing in digital systems design, from Manhattan College. Mr. Grosso is also a Cisco Certified Sales Expert, specializing in communications, wireless and security, and an EMC Proven Professional in storage, backup and recovery; and has been certified through the AT&T National Sales University.
