Shiver Me Timbers... Capcom's Lil' Pirates Now Available for the iPhone and iPod touch

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - November 4, 2010) -  Pour yourself a pint of grog and hoist the jolly roger! Capcom® Mobile, a leading developer and publisher of video games, today announced the launch of their first social network game for smartphones, Lil' Pirates for the iPhone and iPod touch. Developed by IUGO Mobile Entertainment, Lil' Pirates lets the player recruit their own band of scurvy dogs and set upon the high seas seeking adventure, treasure and camaraderie.

"Lil' Pirates brings the fun, cooperative and competitive nature of social games to the age of sail with colorful stylized graphics and a thrilling design," said Midori Yuasa, President and COO, Capcom Interactive, Inc. "With IUGO's dedicated production team working on the title, we're primed to make a splash."

"This is a very exciting partnership for us," explains IUGO's Vice President of Business Development, Sarah Thomson. "Teaming up with Capcom on our first social game allows us to create an incredible product. Together we've launched Lil' Pirates which will blaze new paths in social experiences on iDevices."

In the game, players start with a small ship and a tiny crew of scallywags. Players can upgrade their vessel and expand their crew by undertaking special missions and jobs. Once they start to amass resources and loot, players will be able to challenge friends to combat, play mini games with the crew, bury booty to increase its value, and live the pirate life.

Players can easily set sail with friends by linking their favorite social networking sites to the game. When linked to friends, players can gift treasures, visit comrades' ships and help your friends' crew perform jobs.

Lil' Pirates is available on the Apple App Store for free with regular content updates to follow. For more information, visit the Capcom official press site at
