Association of Energy Services Professionals (AESP) Announces New Interactive Roundtable Sessions at Its National Conference

PHOENIX, Dec. 20, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- New roundtable discussions will be added to the agenda when AESP (www.aesp.org) convenes its 21st National Conference & Expo in Orlando, FL. Over 750 professionals will gather January 17-21, 2011 to hear the latest program and technology advances, policy decisions and thought leadership in the field of energy efficiency, demand response and renewable energy.

"In addition to training courses before and after the conference, 57 presentations and panel discussions and a sold-out exhibit hall, AESP is offering three highly interactive sessions for the first time," said AESP President and CEO Meg Matt. "The idea is to give attendees an occasional break from listening to presentations and give them the opportunity to fully participate in a mini-workshop."

Interactive Roundtable sessions will cover the following:

  • The Customer of the Future – featuring discussions on the customer of the future, including Gen Y trends, expansion of electronics, Smart Grid, smart meters, etc. Attendees will work in small groups to develop a new product or service concept that could be offered by the "utility or vendor of the future."
  • Submitting Your Best RFP – featuring discussions to determine common barriers to creating and responding to RFPs with the goal of seeking understanding and process improvements for both the issuer and responder.
  • Soup to Nuts: Building EM&V into Program Design – featuring discussions on why early involvement of evaluators can be invaluable to the cost-effective development of EM&V plans for customer programs.

"We are excited to add this new attendee benefit to our annual conference," said Matt. "Our meeting attendees have asked for more opportunities for discussion and one-on-one peer learning. These sessions will certainly give them an opportunity to do just that."
