Do Canadians "Kiss and Post"? The Dentyne(TM) Great Kissing Debate Is Getting Lots of Action on Facebook This Valentine's Day

Do you like to do it in Public or keep it Private? 77% of Canadians say it's okay to kiss in public.** The Dentyne* Great Kissing Debate: Public or Private continues until midnight this Valentine's Day. Make your kiss heard and vote. 

As February 14th approaches, the Dentyne* page at is getting a lot of action. In less than two weeks, more than 13,000 Facebook Fans have voted in the Great Kissing Debate. While online votes are trending to "no way to PDA", Canadians don't seem to have an issue sharing connections online, as their FDA scores – Facebook Display of Affection – are off-the-charts. 

The Dentyne* Kissing Ambassadors, Erin Bury and Kevin Oulds who are also a real-life couple, continue to rally votes for their opposing sides of the debate. "I don't understand why it's such a big deal to steal a kiss in public," says Erin Bury, social media sweetheart and proponent of the Public kiss. "I would much rather enjoy a spontaneous kiss on the street, instead of plastering it on Facebook. Everyone just needs to relax." Kevin Oulds, who represents the Private side of the debate says, "I think it's great people are connecting; I just don't want to watch. I say, 'get a room!'" 

The Dentyne* Facebook page contains an application that allows Fans to score their own FDA or Facebook Display of Affection with their chosen Valentine. This app searches all of Facebook for every photo, post or event where both parties have been tagged. The results are taking many people by surprise with scores averaging 12 connections, which is rated as "off-the-charts." The highest FDA registered so far is a steamy 323, which may be considered a blatant case of over-sharing by many people! Visit to see how you rate.
