NEW MARIMEKKO CONCEPT STORE OPENS IN JAPAN

Marimekko's distributor in Japan, Look Inc., opened its 21st Marimekko concept store (62sqm) yesterday, 3 March 2011. The new store is located in the Western part of Japan in Sasebo, which is a beautiful port with around 260,000 inhabitants. The store has a good location in a fashionable district in the city centre.

Japan is Marimekko's largest export country. During the last five years 21 Marimekko concept stores have been opened in Japan. Today, there are a total of 85 Marimekko stores in Finland and across the world, 28 of which are company-owned shops. The Marimekko concept stores sell exclusively Marimekko products and carry a comprehensive selection of merchandise from all the different product lines: clothing, interior decoration and bags.
