Zumobi Inc., a mobile media publisher, today announced they will be hosting a weekly #appchat on Twitter to discuss industry news and best practices regarding mobile -- and increasingly non-mobile -- apps on Tuesdays from 10AM to 11AM PT. The first #appchat will begin at 10AM PT on March 22nd.
Zumobi's #appchat is the first Twitter chat to focus solely on the app market. Some topics that will be discussed include:
- How apps factor into the New York Times' paywall strategy;
- Is the iPad 2 enough to stave off the competition of other tablets? Or will the race to become the dominant platform mimic that of the smartphone;
- Rising utility of push notifications as the new means of discovering breaking news.
The goal of this new Twitter chat is to have app market leaders engage with one another in real-time to talk about industry trends, market growth or anything else affecting the current app landscape that drives the sector.
