Amsterdam, the Netherlands, March 28, 2011 - Ahold has repurchased 869,067 Ahold common shares in the period from March 21, 2011 up to and including March, 25, 2011.
The shares were repurchased at an average price of € 9.2900 per share for a total consideration of € 8.07 million. These repurchases were made as part of the € 1 billion share buyback program announced on March 3, 2011.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 4,887,603 common shares for a total consideration of € 45.77 million.
