Longfellow Benefits Names a Senior Vice President and Two VPs -- Experts in Healthcare and Employee Benefits


BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - March 31, 2011) - Longfellow Benefits, a Boston-based employee benefits consulting and advisory firm, promoted Kevin Gazda from vice president to senior vice president, employee benefits operations; Kristie Howard from senior consultant to vice president, client services, large case specialist; and John F. Galvin from senior consultant to vice president, client services.

Gazda had been a consultant with Longfellow since 2000. In his new role, he oversees the operations of the client services team, manages third-party relationships, coordinates and manages the initiatives of various departments, and is a main contributor to the overall direction of the firm. Gazda received his bachelor's degree from Providence College, holds the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation and will complete his MBA from Northeastern University in May.

Howard, who has been with Longfellow since 2007, works with large clients to design and manage cost-effective benefit programs. She also oversees the firm's Wellness Practice and co-founded the Worksite Wellness Council of Massachusetts that was launched in February 2011. She holds the Certified Worksite Wellness Program Director (CWPD) and CEBS designations, and received her bachelor's degree from Emory University.

Galvin, who has been with Longfellow since 2005, is an expert in designing and managing employee health and welfare benefit programs, with a focus on compliance. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Vermont and has also attained the CEBS designation.
