following:

On 4 May 2011 the voting rights held by FMR LLC, Boston, USA, crossed above
the threshold of 3% of the voting rights in LANXESS AG, Building K10,
D-51369 Leverkusen, Germany. On that date, FMR LLC, Boston, USA, held 3.13%
of the voting rights in LANXESS AG, arising from 2,601,875 voting rights.

All voting rights in LANXESS AG were attributed to FMR LLC, Boston, USA
pursuant to section 22 (1) sent. 1 no. 6 in connection with sent. 2 WpHG.
